My purpose in life is to show God’s glory with the gifts that he graciously has given to me. I was called as a teenager to work in church ministry. I had no clue what that meant at the time, but God has slowly revealed His purpose for me along the years.

I believe hope is the center of our worship. Our hope or rather what our hope is in or on tends to be what we strive after. If your hope is on security you find yourself striving for a wage, or a significant other, and you worship at the altar of a job or love. If your hope is set on advancement you find yourself striving for knowledge and worship at the altar of science or philosophy. The list can go on and on with so many possibilities and if you are honest with yourself about the long term effects you see that you will grow weary long before you ever find satisfaction, but . . . if your hope is set on Jesus Christ. . .

If your hope is set on Jesus Christ, you strive to honor him with your life and you worship at the throne of God. 1 Timothy 4:10 says “For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially those who believe." Our worship of God stems from the hope we have in Christ Jesus. Without the knowledge of who Christ is and what He came to do for us we cannot see the God who sent Him nor can we truly worship with our lives the way we were meant.

To have hope in Jesus Christ is to know Him,
and to know Him is to follow him,
if you are His you have the Holy Spirit who teaches you,
to open your mouth and praise and worship Him for all He is and all He has done!
